The market would love to have participation from all parts of the community to help achieve its goals.

Volunteers receive a
free cooked breakfast on market days courtesy of the breakfast stall.
Volunteers who help out on 5 market days also receive a
fuel voucher to the value of $100.
Typical Roles Required
Volunteer Coordinator ( 1-2 hrs per week)
- Rostering/recruiting volunteers
- Ensuring volunteers are aware of tasks and properly trained
- Arranging purchase of breakfast food ingredients
- General coordination and support of volunteers
Breakfast Stall (2-4hr per week)
- Cooking breakfast
- Serving customers
- Handling money
- Clean up of stall and customer seating
Information and Merchandise Stall (2-4hrs per week)
- Selling Merchandise
- Providing membership, volunteer and stallholder forms
- Giving customers information on the market
- Handling money
Set-up and Pull-Down of Market (2-3hrs per week)
- Transporting market equipment
- Setting up breakfast stall, marquee, table and barbeque
- Setting up information/merchandise marquee and table
- Setting up tables, chairs and umbrellas for customer seating
- Dismantling and packing up above
- General market clean up
Marshalls (2-4hrs per week)
- Directing producers to sites
- Managing car parking
- General market clean up
Promotions and Media Officer (variable)
- Writing newspaper articles
- Developing and coordinating market promotions and events
- Updating community on who is at the market and what’s in season
- Maintaining and updating the website
Special Events Assistants (variable)
- Helping promotions officer to coordinate events
- Helping on special events days
Photographer (variable)
- Photographing special events
- Photographing stalls and stallholders
