The GGFM is a not for profit entity consisting of a collection of motivated producers and community members who are taking the initiative to enhance their community by facilitating the ongoing development of a Farmers’ Market in Geraldton.
The Markets take place each Saturday 8am -12pm at Maitland Park in Geraldton.

As a community driven project we are seeking help from individuals/businesses in the community who wish to align themselves with our goals below.
We require a number of items to help run the markets in a professional and sustainable manner. If you are able to donate, assist to purchase or would just like to be involved we would be most grateful.

Market Goals
The overall philosophy of the Farmers’ Market is local produce, sold locally, by the person who produced it. The idea was raised by community members as a way to
• Improve access to nutritious and affordable foods
• Provide information on food handling and preparation
• Providing an opportunity for social interaction and a tourism draw-card for Geraldton.
Experiences overseas and nationally have shown that farmers’ markets are not only a venue for the exchange of goods but provide a social hub for the community.
